stayed up til 930am today tracking bass. mat only has two more to track and then we get to take a break and i get to go to the hallow moon show at the biltmore tonight! theyre playing with sleepy sun. then tomorrow we start guitars :)

well after coming in here yesterday at 10 am and finiding out that the computer was fucked, it took like 20 hours to fix it and reinstall pro tools. the harddrive was fried so we took one of my external ones and took it out of the casing and put it in there and installed   the os on it and then reinstalled pro tools. so yea, it took us 20 hrs to do that. we rock! but now everything is up and running and we mic’d the drums yesterday and are running them through it old neve console from the 70s and they sound amazing. drum tracking commences now! thanks to dr willy de courcy for helping us fix this baby up :) love ya bro.

i am doin stuff that isnt printing, like recording my debut lp as a solo artist! mike, mhi (matt and phi) and i have moved into a studio deep in heart of surrey for the next seven days and will (hopefully) emerge with a 12-14 song album. when i first got here and loked around i felt like i had just got signed to 604 records and chad was producing. seriously, this place is insane. in a good way. theres a fucking murphy bed in one of the iso booths. haha stay tuned for updates.

Snoop Dogg Smokable Songbook by Pereira & O’Dell

Probably the most brilliant interactive product tie-in of all time, to promote Snoop Dogg’s own brand of rolling papers, Pereira and O’Dell have rolled this excellent  songbook made from hemp-related materials with the spine of the book acting as a match striking surface. Inside, each page is a rolling paper with Snoop’s greatest songs and lyrics written on them, in non-toxic ink, of course. Gotta be careful what you put in your lungs!

i played a show with woolworm (and my new band) last night. it was their last show with foxx cause shes moving to england in a few weeks. i didnt expect it to be so sad! it was really really good too but also sad. she is such an important part of that band. they are such an awesome band together as the four of them, but things change and people move. props to foxx for following her dreams <3. so on behalf of myself and all of vancouver, you will be missed foxxie! here are some pictures from the show. the silver skeleton band and black mastiff also played.

My dogs Konner and Johnny are playing live music 2 night @ A - H -(350 E.2nd #110) for the release of a side project my pal Colin and I have been working on called Total Distribution Corps. Just finishing up the tapes and I’m so stoked. We bootlegged 13 really rad, hard to find/obscure/unavailable albums on to custom length cassettes in a limited edition of 10 to be sold for $2.50 a piece. Custom Risograph covers and posters too!
